Once COWIfonden’s Board has decided to provide a donation, you will receive a donation letter.
The donation letter specifies the donation amount, the donation period, payment information, reporting requirements and any specific conditions that may apply to your donation.
As part of the donation, you are asked to prepare a summary of your project. More information on the requirements for the summary can be found here.
In the donation letter, you will be asked to prepare a mandatory completion report after you have completed the activities covered by the donation. Some donation recipients will be asked to submit biannual progress reports. More information on the reporting requirements can be found here.
Each year, COWIfonden’s Board selects a number of projects to be presented in the annual report. The projects are expected to provide a short text and illustration describing their project. You will get a heads-up if your project is selected.
When you present your results in publications, presentations or posts on social media, you are required to include a reference to the donation you have received from COWIfonden. For example, you can use the following phrase when you are publishing in a scientific journal: “This project has received research funds from COWIfonden.” When posting on social media, you must include #COWIfonden.
If you have received a donation for the purchase of equipment, you are required to affix a label to the equipment stating that the purchase has been funded by COWIfonden. COWIfonden will provide the labels in various sizes to be affixed to the equipment.
You must use COWIfonden’s logo on websites and in presentations and publications if you have received support from COWIfonden. You can request COWIfonden’s logo from cowifonden@cowifonden.com.
Once you have received the donation letter, the donation is activated. Usually, you will receive the funds when the completion report is approved. If you are requested to submit progress reports, you will receive partial payment of the donation after the Assessment Committee has approved the progress report.
